They call me Fredland...
I was daydreaming again and my friend saw me smiling to myself. He said, "Some day, I'm gonna make it to Fredland, 'cause Fredland's a happy place."
From then on they called me Fredland.

| Media Review (updated 06/18/04) |
- Owning Mahowny (2003)
I really like Philip Seymour Hoffman's work and he's great in this. Not a great movie but definitely entertaining especially if you've spent a fair share of time in Atlantic City and/or Las Vegas which I have.
- Jackie Brown: Collector's Series (1997)
Not Tarantino's best but definitely still worth checking out if only to watch Robert Forster's performance.
- Catch Me If You Can (2002)
I liked this movie more than I thought it would. Pretty boy that he is, Leonardo is still a great actor. Pairing off with Tom Hanks was fun to watch.
- The Hours (2002)
Loved this movie. Thought it should have won Best Picture. Editing and screenplay was superb. Cast superb.
- The Hulk (2003)
I had very high hopes on this one since it was Ang Lee directing and was pretty disappointed by the end. In fact, I was pretty confused with just what happened in the end, under water, what the heck happened?? Bust of a movie.
- The Pianist (2002) (2002)
Wow, what a film. Highly recommend, kudos to everything about it.
- Batman: Mystery of the Batwoman (2003)
I'm a big fan of Bruce Timm's Batman the Animated Series so I checked this out and, well, it wasn't very good. Don't recommend unless you're a rabid rabid fan.
- The Matrix: Reloaded (2003)
I viewed this movie as more of an opera with dramatic fight sequences being the arias and then it wasn't so bad, basically because I was ignoring all the plot holes and such. So ignorance is bliss for this one. In the end, I was still entertained.
- The Virgin Suicides (1999)
Intense film, illustrating Sofia Coppola's shining talent which would be even further honed in Lost in Translation. I love how her films are as much about atmosphere and emotion as plot and character.
- Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002)
I like Sam Rockwell and I loved the Gong Show when I was a kid, this movie wasn't good and it wasn't terrible. It was sort of oooook. Can't recommend it necessarily. But I had fun watching it.
- Gangs of New York (2002)
Pretty amazing. Daniel Day Lewis is a superfreak. The way this movie is shot with it's moving panoramas, swooping in and out, worked for it. I liked the movie more than I thought I would.
- Eat Drink Man Woman (1994)

Excellent excellent film. Love this movie top down all around.
- CSI: The Complete First Season (2000)
I think this show was pretty brilliant when it first came out but it has become pretty stale by now. Still recommend the first season if you've never seen it before. Crappy DVD menu interface.
- Family Guy: Season 1 (1999)
A pretty hilarious show, some were more wicked than others. Didn't rent the other discs but this show has a pretty rabid fan base. I was interested enough to rent the first disc but not enough to weed through the rest to find the "good" ones.
- 25th Hour (2002)
This was good but not great. I really didn't like how it ended.
- Shanghai Knights (2003)
Eh.
- Solaris (2002)
Eh.
- Daredevil (2003)
This was so bad, I fast forwarded through most of it and before you know it the movie was over. Yes, it was that bad. Really really bad. Like rub my eyes out with alcohol bad.
- Fawlty Towers: The Complete Set (1975)
Was Ok. Wasn't inspired to get the rest of the discs.
- Croupier (1998)
Pretty bad. Stay away. Amateur drivel.
